We took a ride up to Gary's job in Vermont and had fun in the snow.

363: December 29th Dawn
Took a few pictures of the sunrise but they all came out kind of blurry. They're the only ones I took, so, that's it!

362: A Snowy Mt. Forist
Took this picture first thing this morning when the sun was shining on the mountain outside my living room windows.

360: Bye-bye, Tree
I'll be taking the tree down tomorrow and this is probably the last tree we'll ever have because we'll be spending our winters in Florida from now on.

358: Across the Street
The sun finally came out this morning after a week of clouds and it was so pretty shining on our neighbor's house.

357: A Gift Hiding in the Tree
It's a gift card kind of year and most of our gifts are perched on the branches of our Christmas tree.
356: Wednesday 12/22
Had to shovel after school. Then, when Gary got home, he wanted to go to Mary's for supper. By the time we got home, I was bushed and went right to bed. So, no picture!

354: Inadvertent Self Portrait
I was playing around with my camera trying to get some bokeh. It didn't really work but I thought this photo of a Christmas ornament was kind of cool.
353: Sunday Morning 12/19
Took this picture Sunday morning to go along with this poem. But it didn't come out very well so I didn't bother posting it on my poetry blog. I was trying to get a picture of the smoking chimney.

352: Christmas Tree
Gary brought this tree home from his job and I decorated it this afternoon using my mom's vintgage ornaments.
351: Friday Dec. 17: Kylie's Fifth Birthday
I can't believe she's already 5! I remember the night she was born so well. We were sure she was a boy.
What a surprise and treat to get a little girl!

357: Christmas Lights
I put my camera on manual and used my zoom lens to take this picture of our neighbor's Christmas lights.

356: Snow and Water
I snapped this outside my classroom window this morning. It rained all day yesterday creating a moat around the back of the school. Then it snowed a couple inches this morning. The reflections are trees.

253: Saturday 12/11: Park Model
This park model is located in a campground near ours in Maine. I love the sea grass and wish I'd taken a close-up of it. It's in impeccable shape and the hard room makes it so much bigger and adds lots of living space.

252: Dead Leaves
We had student-led conferences today at school and during a lull in the presentations, I clicked a couple pictures outside my classroom window. It is right next to a mountain and it's this close!

249: Dried Roses
These are three of the roses from my mom's funeral that I hung upside down to dry for about a month. Now they're in a vase.

347: Sunday December 5th
I never took a picture, but, here's another I took Friday night of my favorite person in the whole world.
346: Saturday December 4th: Kylie's Picture
Kylie was here for the weekend and she asked if she could use my camera to take a photo. Not bad, huh?

I was telling them about taking a picture a day for a whole year so decided to snap a photo of them.

339: Mt. Forist
Took this when I got up this morning around 7:15. Just afterwards, some clouds covered the sun and we barely saw it for the rest of the day. Bummer! This is the view from the front of our house.

336: For Sale
This popped up on our lawn today. Yes, we are selling my parents' house. We moved here when I was in the 8th grade. After we sold our motel, my husband and I moved in here for the winters while my parents were in Florida. After my dad died back in '97, my mom still lived here in the summers while we were at camp.
I'll be retiring in June and my mom died last August so my siblings and I decided it was time to put the old homestead up for sale.
335: Tuesday November 23
I got in bed and realized I'd forgotten to take a picture. Did get up to take one? Hell, no! Too tired and Glee was on!

326: I Need a Tripod!
I tried to take a picture of the beautiful full moon tonight but I don't have a tripod and couldn't keep my camera steady enough for the few seconds my shutter was open. Darn!
I'll have to put that on my Christmas wish list!

322: Salt and Glass
I hate this time of the year. By the time I get out of school, the sun has already slipped behind Mt. Forist and there's barely time to take outdoor photos. Instead, I have to settle for pictures inside the house.

321: After the Sunset
Not much today. I took a couple pictures on my way home from school. The sun had just gone down behind the mountain. It was only 3:30. So sad!

317: Glen Ellis Falls
On my way to North Conway today I stopped at Glen Ellis Falls. The weather was beautiful with not a cloud in the sky and the temp was about 60 degrees.
These falls are in Pinkham Notch and are 64 feet high.

316: Dead Beauty
Took a walk through the woods today. Everything was so pretty with the sun shining. Not sure what this is but I like all the fuzzies.

315: A Beautiful Day
I went for a vigorous walk with my friend, Dottie, and took this shot from the Botanical Garden on the East Side looking toward St. Anne's Church.

314: Nana Shower
I went to a Nana Shower this evening for Peggy (seated) whose son had a baby boy last month. I taught at the junior high with her for many years along with Mary (left). The others left to right are Nancy, our school librarian, Gina, a teacher at the junior high, Dottie, who threw the shower, ?, another teacher at the junior high but I don't remember her name, and Dede, the former guidance director at the junior high.
I'd never heard of a Nana Shower but it was a good excuse to get together and have a glass of wine.
313: A Pretty Dawn
I'm cheating. I didn't take a picture last night but snapped this from the back porch this morning before going to school.
