213: Happy Fishermen

My husband (driver) and his fishing buddy got a 420 lb. tuna today.  Here they are leaving the marina in my husband's 1979 Ford Ranchero.

I got back to Maine this afternoon and when my husband got back from fishing, we sat on the porch and played footsie! 

The assignment today for Picture summer was to take a photo of toes that tell a story.

210: Spin

This was our assignment for Picture Summer today.  We had to spin our camera while taking the picture.  I was standing on the porch of our home in Florida looking up the canal.

Yesterday's assignment for Picture Summer was to take a self-portrait of our shadow in the morning or evening sun so the shadow would be elongated.  I took mine this morning in the warm Florida sunrise.

205: Entry Light

I'm in Florida for five days to visit my mom who is in an assisted living facility.  I'm staying in our retirement home and this light welcomed me when I got here tonight.

It was just getting dark when I realized I hadn't taken a picture today so went outside and snapped this of my impatiens.  My grandmother used to call them Patient Lucys.

I've been passing these flags on my way to the beach all summer.  Today, for Picture Summer, we had to take a photo of repetition so I had a good excuse to get off my bike, lie on the side of the street, and snap away.

The assignment at Picture Summer today was to take a picture of someone jumping,  I asked Michelle to jump for me and she willingly obliged.

199: Fishing Pole

I went out on my husband's boat today and saw this pole when I looked straight up.

198: An Ocean of Diamonds

I pedaled my bike to the beach at 8:30 this morning before it got too hot and crowded.  The ocean was beautiful!

197: Morning Light on Hydrangeas

I felt like a nut in my neighbor's garden contorting myself into crazy positions to get the sun in the background...but, just look at that bokeh!

Saw these at Ocean Park Beach in Maine today ruffling against a perfect blue sky.

Saw these in an empty lot and had my husband stop so I could pick a bouquet.

I took her to the hairdresser's with me and she built this city complete with houses, a crossroads, a factory, and a playground.

193: July 12: Hmmm, What Shall I Discard?

Kylie and I played our own version of Crazy Eights.  She beat me and I didn't let her!  She got feeling so sorry for me that she tried to make mistakes so I'd win.  Gotta love that kid!

192: July 11: From My Bed

I love to sit in bed in the morning and read.  This is the view I have of our living room except the end of the camper is almost 40 feet from where I'm sitting.  It looks much closer in the picture.

I'm late taking a picture today so just clicked away inside our camper.

190: Bluefin Tuna

My husband caught a tuna today.  Here he is with the guys who went with him.  Left to right: My brother-in-law, Mike; Gary; our neighbor, Don; and my brother, Tim.

The tuna was 74 inches long and weighed 194 lbs.

189: Kylie at the Beach

We took the trolley to Old Orchard Beach this evening, went on a few rides, then played in the surf.

The assignment for day 2 of Picture Summer is to take a picture of splashy water.  I didn't have a chance to go to the beach or the pool, so just turned the hose on and liked the little diamonds squirting out of the nozzle.

182: My Mom's Ping 5-wood

It's seen lots of golf balls and many fairways.  Now that my mom can't play golf anymore, I've inherited her clubs and love using them even though they're old.
