Week 21: From the Heart

This week we had to take a photo of something heart-shapd or something that represents our heart.

My word for the year is "ahead" so this sunrise picture symbolizes what is in my heart right now:
A new day.  A new beginning.
Ah, retirement!

Week 20: Excavation

Tracey asked us to go through all our photos for the first twenty weeks to see if we could figure out our identities as photographers and then to take a picture using that style.

Here's what I uncovered:
1.  I'm a picture taker not a photographer and I'm okay with that.
2.  I'm terrible at taking people pictures.
3.  I love using aperture priorty to create blurry backgrounds.

On my way back from the beach, I spied some black-eyed Susans in a deserted lot so got off my bicycle and snapped some photos of them.

Then I picked a bouquet and arranged them in a vase when I got back to the camper.

Week 19: Digging In

For this week's prompt, we had to get down and dirty.  We've been splitting fire wood and stacking it.  Here's my husband's pulp hook digging into a pine log.

Week 18: Exploration

This week we had to photograph someone exploring.  This is my sister, Sally, looking at the prayers placed under shells on the altar of a Franciscian Chapel in Kennebunkport, Maine.
