This is a close-up of one of the small flowers all over the hanging plant my son gave me for Mother's Day. They're so pretty!

178: Red Cups
And an inadvertent self portrait!
This photo was taken from outside our camper looking in at my crafting area. I've got lots of pens and like to keep them organized and thought this would be a handy way to do it. From the inside it barely shows but from the outside...

177: Orange Umbrella
Pedaled my bike to the beach this morning and saw this pretty umbrella as I was walking over the dunes.

176: Craft Desk and Ladderback Chair
I had a nice, quiet morning at camp sitting on the couch, playing on the computer, and taking pictures without even having to move.

175: Gary on His Boat
This morning my husband put all new fishing line on his tuna reels.
Tonight he's putting the boat in the water at the marina.
Tomorrow he's going fishing. He heard that the tuna are biting.

174: Groundhog Day
We had to drive to Berlin, today. As we turned into the Woodlands Credit Union on Main St., we saw this groundhog. He was right out in the open. Of course, by the time I got my camera out, he was heading for his burrow.

173: Another Beach Scene
Saw these two ladies walking along the beach today. I love their hats and the pail that one is holding!

172: Happy First Day of Summer
And to celebrate the solstice, I pedaled to the beach on my red bicycle, found a spot to settle down, set up my nifty folding seat, wrote a letter to my friend in Florida, and read for an hour. Bliss!

171: 1964 Fury
This is our neighbor's old car. Don is driving and his wife, Micheline, is sitting next to him. In the backseat are their son, Shawn, and his girlfriend, Ashlee.
170: Sat. June 19: David Ortiz
Our son took us to a Red Sox game yesterday for our 39th anniversary. We had a great time! They were playing the Dodgers and Manny Ramirez, a former Red Sox, played and got a homerun. But, in the bottom of the 9th, the Red Sox won!

169: The Gloria J.
This is my husband's fishing boat. When he bought it, he planned on naming it the Freda B, after his grandmother, which kind of sounds like "Free to be." But when he hauled it home, his mom saw the old name on it which was La Gloria and said, "Oh, you named the boat after me!" So, he did.

167: Book Case
School's out for summer!
We spend it at camp in Maine. This is one of my favorite spots in our camper.

165: Doing the Cemetery
This is the first year I had to plant the flowers at the cemetery by myself. For the past ten years or so I've helped my mom do this but this year she is unable to travel to NH. Now, it's my turn.
Buried here in this six-person plot are my paternal grandparents, Peter and Marian Ryan; my dad, James Ryan; and my uncle George Monahan. There are two places left, one for my aunt Dottie, George's wife and my dad's sister; and another one for my mom.
It was drizzling while I was there: in the air and in my heart!

164: A Pile of Correcting
Every Tuesday and Thursday I have my students do journal writing. At the end of the year they have to choose 12 of their best poems and honor them in a booklet. I had 28 of them to correct this afternoon. I really enjoyed correcting them; the kids did a great job!

161: Shutter in a Tree
Tornadoes are very rare in northern NH but, last Saturday, there was one not far from my MIL's house. It ripped a shutter off a house and deposited it high up in this tree.

160: Dandelions
I saw these as I was getting out of my car after school and they looked so pretty in front of the gray house.

154: Thursday June 3: No Picture
We drove to camp right after school and I totally forgot to take a picture. Darn! This is the first time since January first! I guess I was just so relaxed and excited about taking a personal day. It doesn't happen very often.

146: Wed. May 26: Self Portrait
I got my computer back!
Our school began Advisories this year. Each teacher has 10-12 kids for twenty minutes three times a week. I had my kids make books about themselves and I did it along with them.
For this page, I took my stickers in and told the kids to create self protraits. This was mine.
