59: Sunrise

The sky was a pretty pink when I got up this morning.  I took this picture through the kitchen window.

We've had such cloudy skies all week so this is about the best I can do.

58: Snowing Again!

Woke up to this scene.  And it's still snowing!

57: Drips

After over a week of cloudy, stormy skies, the sun came out at 3:30 today.  I put my jacket on, grabbed my camera, and went for a walk.  There was still some melting snow on the limbs.

See those circles in the background?  I think that's bokeh. 

56: Mt. Forist

Took this one from my front porch this morning.

There isn't much sky showing but this is the only color sky we've had for a week, now, except for about 45 seconds one day.

55: Twenty-Four Hours Later

Trees are covered in heavy, wet snow.

I took a walk through the Smith Hydro Peninsula Park and snapped a bunch of pictures of winter foliage.

53: Deer

I drove up to my husband's logging job today.

He took me up though his cuttings on his skidder and we saw these deer.

52: Like a Chicken with Its Head Cut Off

Those were the directions given to me by my husband's grandmother when she gave me this old bread "machine." 

"Turn the crank until the dough looks like a chicken with it's head cut off."

So, that's what I did this morning when I made 3 loaves of whole wheat bread.

And it rose beautifully.

51: The Sun

The sun came out for 45 seconds today so I grabbed my camera and snapped this picture.

50: Bone China Tea Cup

My mom has a collection of these cups.  I love this one because the flowers remind me of my grandmother.  We called her Nonie and she loved all flowers.  I think these are sweet peas and Nonie grew them on the side of her garage.  They smelled wonderful!

This is my mom's old bean pot.  She made them every Saturday.  I have a diffferent use for it, now!

I went for a walk after school and took this snowmobile path on the way back.  It's right in the middle of town and it's my the first time taking it.
